Cotton Enriched Fleece is a premium three-thread composite fleece engineered to give you the natural comfort of cotton on the surface with robust, responsible performance on the inside. The top face is 100% cotton, 24s count, bio-washed and silicone-softened for an ultra-smooth, luxurious hand. The bottom (skin side) is our Sans Carbon recycled yarn mix (60% post-industrial recycled cotton / 40% recycled PET-based fibre) and is raised to a plush nap for insulation. The finished weight is 350 GSM, and the structure is knitted on three-thread equipment so the face, binder and fleecy yarns behave as one stable fabric.
Because the three-thread construction uses a distinct face yarn, a binding yarn and a fleecy/loop yarn, you get a clearly defined smooth outer face and a deep, insulating inner nap — the best of both worlds for premium hoodies, heavyweight sweatshirts and performance-aware casual wear.
We build this composite deliberately. The fabric is knitted with a dedicated three-thread layout: the top (face) yarn knits the visible surface, the middle binder yarn ties the structure together, and the fleecy yarn forms the back nap. In composite builds where face and fleecy yarns differ materially, a synthetic binder yarn (commonly a polyester filament) is used to stabilise stitch geometry and improve dimensional control during finishing and wear. This is standard practice for reliable three-thread performance.
After knitting we follow a controlled finishing sequence: tubular dyeing for even penetration, bio-polishing/enzyme wash and silicon softening on the face to remove fuzz, enhance sheen and deliver a silky hand, followed by mechanical raising (napping) of the back to develop the pile. The fabric is then washed, neutralised and heat-set to lock width, reduce residual torque and fix pile height and colour vibrancy. These finishing steps are why a complex three-thread composite can still be production-ready and predictable at scale.
Using recycled cotton + rPET in the fleecy layer reduces reliance on virgin feedstocks and lowers the cradle-to-gate impacts compared with virgin polyester routes — a practical way to improve material circularity while keeping pile retention and abrasion resistance high. We select recycled fibres that meet our mechanical and colour-fastness criteria so the inner nap performs on par with conventional fleeces.
Every lot is measured and certified: composition verification, GSM, tensile/burst strength, dimensional stability, pilling resistance, and colour fastness (wash, rub, light). We also validate pile height, pile retention after abrasion cycles and post-wash appearance so your sample → bulk match is deterministic. Custom colours, special finishes and matching trims are available on request; we handle lead times and minimums case-by-case so production planning stays sane.
Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water (30–40 °C) using a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid chlorine bleach and routine use of fabric softeners — they can sit on fibres and reduce absorbency or alter hand over time. Tumble dry low or air dry flat in shade; excessive heat can change pile height and dimensional stability. If ironing is needed, use a low setting and press from the face side with a cloth barrier; avoid steam directly on the raised nap. Store folded in a cool, dry place away from prolonged sunlight to preserve colour and loft.
