Sans Carbon Piqué is a purpose-designed recycled-content piqué knitted to deliver the structure of a classic polo with an eco-first material story. The fabric is 60% post-industrial recycled cotton blended with 40% recycled PET-based fibre (rPET), knitted into a true piqué texture that gives the characteristic micro-waffle face and a stable, smooth reverse. It’s finished with a controlled bio-wash and silicon softening to deliver a refined hand and immediate shelf appeal.
Piqué’s cellular geometry creates airflow channels that improve breathability and cooling while preserving a crisp appearance — collars stay sharp, embroidery sits cleanly, and surface soiling is less visible than on flat jerseys. That combination is why piqué remains the preferred knit for polos, smart casuals and uniforming where durability and presentability matter.
We build value into the yarn and the process. Recycled cotton and rPET are selected for cleanliness, fibre length and tensile profile, then blended and spun to meet stable yarn targets; blending recycled fibres with longer fibres and controlled spinning reduces neps and improves strength. This front-end control is essential when working with mechanically recycled feedstocks.
Knitting parameters — tuck depth, stitch density and loop definition — are tuned for piqué so the face texture, hand and GSM remain consistent across dye lots. Tubular dyeing and calibrated bio-washing give even shade penetration and a soft first-wash feel. Silicon finishing improves surface glide and perceived softness without masking the fabric’s breathability. Every lot is lab-verified for composition, GSM, tensile strength, pilling resistance and colorfastness (wash, rub, light) and released only when sample-to-bulk matching meets our tolerances. Where required, we supply full test certificates and GRS/RCS-style documentation.
From a sustainability standpoint, switching rPET into the blend meaningfully lowers lifecycle impacts versus virgin polyester routes; industry lifecycle assessments and sector guidance show substantial GHG and resource savings for recycled polyester and recycled fibres when sourced and processed correctly. We do not greenwash: recycled inputs are traceable, and technical tradeoffs (e.g., fibre cleanliness, blend ratios) are managed in production to meet buyer expectations for performance and appearance.
Commercially, Sans Carbon Piqué is production-friendly: suitable for embroidery and print, available with matching collars and cuffs, packed for export, and offered with minimums and lead times that support bulk runs. If you need bespoke shades, finishes or higher recycled content certification, we handle sampling, lab testing and colour approvals through the full production cycle.
Machine wash at 30–40 °C on a gentle cycle with a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid chlorine bleach and strong oxidisers. Turn garments inside out to protect surface texture and any embroidery. Tumble dry on low or air dry in shade to preserve dimensional stability and pile integrity; avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Iron on low from the reverse if needed. Routine dry cleaning is not required.
