It is perfect for long-lasting prints because of its thicker ink layers, which guarantee endurance.

At Plakads, our in-house designers work to develop screens, seperate colours & draft mockups to give you an idea of the finished product. For every screen printing order, we need a tech-pack from the customer to ensure clarity of design. Our design team can help you create the same. if you are not proficient. Then we develop the screen artwork which by colour separating the design into various layers & developing the actual screen. For all design orders, we typically send a sample first to the customer and print only after confirmation. You can use our cost calculator & tech-pack support apps on this page to speed up the process. However, please note the cost calculator gives estimates only.

Types of Screen Printing:

At Plakads, we have a dedicated unit for screen printing & we can do a variety of screen prints, intermixing a range of chemicals, equipment by using our decades of experience. By using quality chemicals and modern equipment in well-trained hands, we ensure top-notch quality.

Halftone printing, employing dots of various sizes to create gray shades, imparts a textured look to cotton fabric. Ideal for apparel, this technique adds depth and dimension to designs.

CMYK printing, [Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black)] is a widely used T-shirt printing method for producing a full-color graphic on white clothing. With just four screens, CMYK printing recreates art or realistic images by layering four colors—cyan, magenta, yellow, and black—on top of one another.

Water-based ink uses water as a solvent base. Water-based ink lays down a thin, soft, flexible layer of ink on the garment. With a thin ink deposit that soaks into the shirt instead of sitting on top of the fabric, it’s a great choice for fashion prints.

Oil-based Plastisol ink has an opaque, slightly glossy appearance. Because this ink is layered over the cloth, it imparts an opaque appearance and a textured feel. The most widely used ink in the business is Plastisol because of its high level of transparency, color saturation, longevity, great print detail, and reasonable price.

A special kind of ink known as "Glow in the Dark" produces a luminous effect in the dark. It's an oil-based transparent ink that glows more brightly when applied to a white or light-colored background. The ink has a faint green tint that prevents color matching when using glow-in-the-dark inks.

Puff printing is a distinctive technique that adds dimension and tactile appeal to designs using a specific type of ink that adds a three-dimensional twist. When the ink is printed onto the shirt, it swells up, creating an eye-catching, tactile effect that takes your design to the next level. The three-dimensional patterns not only catch the eye but also provide a unique sensory experience.

Embossing is another value add clubbed with screen printing. This process requires making a design plate and using specialized pressing machines & chemicals to create semi-permanent to permanent emboss on the surface of the fabrics.

FAQs

We need two things, a tech-pack (ie a document that shows placement, colours & other details for the print) and the Vector File or High-Quality PNG for the design. While our design team can assist on the same, we do need both of these as a prerequisite. You can use the tech-pack helper on this page to get an idea of the same. Once we get the files, screen designing & making takes 5-9 Days (at this stage, we take an approval of the PDF Artwork before making the screen). Then we prepare a sample print first which takes 2-3 Days & get the same approved. Once we get a confirmation from your end, we start with the printing which takes 5-6 Days Per Design. For a single design, we have the capacity to print 600+ Garments Daily.
